Is text messaging a gift or a curse??

Technology is everywhere and it's showing no signs of slowing down. A lot of people text message. Mothers. Fathers. Lawyers. Teachers. Middle School Students. I can state the obvious, text message is addicting and dangerous. How many times have you tried to send off a quick message while changing lanes in five o'clock traffic? I am guilty of it. Outside those two factors, I cannot remember the last time I heard half of my friends voices. While growing up, their voices were all I knew. I didn't need caller ID because I knew who it was as soon as they responded to my "hello." With that being said, I think I have to take it back to the old school and start calling my friends every now and then. They might even be a little surprised to see my number pop up but I am sure they would appreciate the conversation!

I agree, technology is everywhere! All it's going to do is keep on advancing.

They are trying to DE-personalize society. It's working! I went to the movies last night at the Grove in LA. They had 4 automated ticket machines and 2 attendants behind the counter selling tickets as well. Each automated machine had 5 or more people standing to buy tickets, and the about 3 people TOTAL in the lines for ACTUAL HUMANS. *smh* It's getting worse.

Call your friends more and let's stop having important conversations over email, IM, myspace, or text. Whatever happened to sitting down and talking to a muh'f*kka!
